Legendary English singer Mick Jagger says he will not attend the 89th Academy Awards, let alone go to the gala with Indian actress Priyanka Chopra.
On Saturday, Priyanka posted a selfie with the singer on Instagram and wrote about gearing up for the Academy Awards, which will be held here on Sunday. It didn't take long for some people to speculate that Jagger will attend the Oscars with Priyanka.
Jagger later tweeted: "How odd, I read that I'm going to the Oscars with Priyanka Chopra. I shall not be going to the Oscars at all."
Priyanka had earlier announced that she will be attending the Academy Awards. She posted: "Change of plans! Oscars here we come. Mick Jagger LA LA Land."
The actress, who got fame in the West for playing Alex Parrish in the US TV thriller series "Quantico", was one of the presenters at the Academy Awards last year.
