The Pakistan Supreme Court Wednesday directed all political parties in the country to submit by Thursday their suggestions to end the ongoing political crisis.

The case was heard by a five-judge bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk, Dawn online reported.

Earlier Sep 2, all parties were issued notice as requested by Zulfiqar Naqvi, who had filed a petition saying that all parties be summoned so that the deadlock can be resolved.

During the hearing, barrister Aitzaz Ahsan of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) contended that Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) protestors had occupied Parliament's parking area and requested that the court issue an order for its clearance.

Meanwhile, Awami Muslim League (AML) president Sheikh Rasheed, who was representing the protesting parties, assured the court that they would come up with solutions to vacate the area of Parliament and Pakistan Secretariat.

Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali also asked Attorney General Salman Aslam Butt to submit a list of cases of financial losses suffered during the ongoing protests.

The hearing of the case has been adjourned to Sep 5.
