A hospital in Paris has been closed on Friday "as a precaution" following bomb alert, Public Assitance-Paris Hospitals (L'AP-HP), the country's main public hospital system said.
"Following an anonymous call received by the Georges Pompidou European Hospital (HEGP) and in agreement with the police authorities, it was decided as a precaution to close access to HEGP," Xinhua quoted L'AP-HP as saying.
Patients' movement are limited to maximum within the hospital, it added.
Police operation to find suspect packages or luggage is underway. France has been on high alert since the Charlie Hebdo attack in January 2015.
The government has been keeping security at the highest level and deployed 10,000 soldiers across the country to ensure security.
