Parliament on Wednesday passed the Motion of Thanks to the President's Speech after a reply by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in both the houses.
The motion, as passed by the lower house said that the "Members of the Lok Sabha assembled in this Session are deeply grateful to the President for the Address which he has been pleased to deliver to both Houses of Parliament assembled together on January 29, 2018."
The Motion of Thanks was then passed by the Rajya Sabha after the Prime Minister's speech.
There were no amendments moved in the lower house to the motion, but in Rajya Sabha, there was voting on one amendment but it was negated.
CPI-M member T.K. Rangarajan had moved his amendment over the women reservation bill.
