It was a partly cloudy Sunday in the national capital. The maximum temperature settled at 34.8 degrees Celsius, a degree above the season's average. The Met Office has forecast light rain Monday.
"The sky will remain partly cloudy with rain or thundershowers expected in some parts of the city Monday," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
Monday's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 35 and 26 degrees Celsius, the Met Office forecast.
Sunday's minimum temperature was recorded at 25.6 degrees Celsius, a degree above normal.
Saturday's maximum temperature settled at 34 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year, while the minimum settled a notch below the season's average at 23.5 degrees Celsius.
