Philips Lighting on Thursday said it has appointed its CEO, South Asia Harsh Chitale as the CEO of its Business Group Professional.
Chitale will be succeeded by Sumit Joshi, Head of Marketing Excellence, as CEO, South Asia the company said..
"The new appointments reflect the company's commitment to leadership development and our tradition of growing talent across markets. This also emphasises the importance of the South Asian operations for Philips Lighting," Murali Sivaraman, Market Group Leader - Growth Markets at Philips Lighting, said in a statement.
The statement added that Chitale led the South Asian business of Philips Lighting since January 2015, helping to drive the company's leadership in the fast growing LED and professional businesses.
