PM condoles demise of ex-Gujarat governor R.K. Trivedi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed condolences over the demise of former Gujarat governor Ram Krishna Trivedi.
"I am saddened by the demise of former Gujarat governor R.K. Trivedi. His contribution to public life will be widely remembered," the PMO said in a tweet.
His efforts as the chief election commissioner (CEC) had greatly enriched the election process in the country, Modi said in another tweet.
Trivedi had served as the governor of Gujarat from February 26, 1986 to May 2, 1990. He had also served as the CEC from June 18, 1982 to December 31, 1985.
