Police in south China's Guangdong province have seized 24,000 guns and more than 5.6 million bullets in a two-month crackdown on gun crime.
Police also arrested 4,095 suspects from Oct 25 to Dec 25, Xinhua reported citing the provincial public security department Monday.
They included a 22-member gang in Dongguan city who manufactured guns and engaged in drug trafficking. Three gun manufacturing dens in the city were destroyed by police.
The manufacture and sale of guns is banned in China. Private citizens are not allowed to own guns.
