FC Porto have announced the signing of Brazilian left-back Alex Telles from Turkish football club Galatasaray for the next five seasons.
The Portuguese club said in a statement on Wednesday that the termination clause of Telles's contract is valued at 40 million euros ($44.4 million), but gave no further financial details on the transfer, reports Efe.
However, Galatasaray said in a statement reported by Portuguese media that the deal cost the Dragons 6.5 million euros ($7.2 million).
Telles, 23, has already worn the Porto shirt and will join his new club's training session later on Wednesday under the command of coach Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Brazilian defender, who started at Juventus, played for Brazil's Gremio and joined Galatasaray in 2013, where he played for two seasons before moving on loan to Inter Milan last summer.
