The Haryana government has declared November 1 a public holiday in Gurgaon to enable factory workers and others to participate in the golden jubilee celebrations of Haryana's creation being held there (Gurgaon) on Tuesday.
"The Haryana government has declared November 1, 2016 as a closed day under the Factories Act, 1948 for the workers in Gurugram (Gurgaon), to enable them to participate in the opening ceremony of the Haryana Swarna Jayanti Celebrations to be held on November 1, 2016 at Gurugram," a state government spokesman said here on Monday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the year-long golden jubilee celebrations of Haryana from Gurgaon on Tuesday.
