Romania will send 24 athletes to compete in eight sport disciplines at the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Alexandru Epuran, head of the Romanian delegation to the Games announced.
Romanian athletes will compete in eight of the 15 sport disciplines scheduled at these Olympics, which are slated Feb 7-23, including alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, biathlon, ski jumping, figure skating, bobsleigh, luge and skeleton, reports Xinhua.
Bi-athlete Eva Tofalvy, participating for the fifth time, will bear the Romanian flag at the opening ceremony of the Games Feb 7.
