Rome, 14 March (IANS/AKI) The decomposing body of what police believe to be a woman was found in an advanced state of decomposition in a derelict house near Florence.
The corpse was discovered by the owners of the house in the hamlet of San Piero a Ponti which was set to be demolished, police said on Tuesday.
Identity documents belonging to 57-year-old Polish woman were found beside the body.
Investigators believe that the woman died several months ago.
Coroners were due to establish the cause of death.
Earlier on Tuesday, the rotting body of a 29-year-old Argentinian was found in an apartment in the Tuscan city of Pisa.
Investigators believe he died around a month ago from an overdose.
