Minority Affairs Minister Najma Heptullah Wednesday announced a relief package worth Rs.120 crore for flood-hit Jammu and Kashmir.
Of this, Rs.5 crore will be spent under skill training programme "Seekho aur Kamao", targeting 2,000 youth, while skill training under Jan Vikas Yojna targeting 1,000 youth will be allocated Rs.2.5 crore.
Pre- and post-matric scholarship will be made demand-driven and Rs.30 crore has been allocated for it, while another 2,000 scholarships worth Rs.1.20 crore will be given specifically to girls.
A sum of Rs.50 crore has been marked for finance for setting up micro enterprises, while Rs.25 crore has been earmarked for building institutions like schools and hospitals destroyed by floods among other things.
