Blackmarketers had a field day as there was a heavy demand for the much awaited clash between India and Nepal in the SAFF Cup football tournament at the Dasarath Stadium here Thursday.

Three hours before the start of the match, a huge crowd outside the stadium gathered hoping to get a place in the 18,000-seater stadium.

While the blackmarketers made profits, many fans were left disappointed.

Dipak Gurung, who traveled all the way from Pokhara, 200km from capital, had tp pay Rs.1,000 for a Rs.300 ticket. Tickets of Rs.700 were sold for Rs.2,000.

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) acting president Indra Man Tuladhar said that tickets were sold out within 90 minutes after being put on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday morning.
