Top Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal beat compatriot and second seed P.V. Sindhu in straight games to take the women's singles crown of the $120,000 India Grand Prix Gold at the Babu Banarasi Das Indoor Stadium here Sunday.
The top seed won the final 21-14, 21-17 in 40 minutes to take her first title since the Denmark Open Super Series Premier in October 2012.
This is Sindhu's consecutive loss in the final here after handing over the title to Indonesian Lindaweni Fanetri in 2012 December.
