Actor Samuthirakani, who was last seen playing the antagonist in Priyadarshan's Malayalam thriller "Oppam", might reunite with the filmmaker for his yet-untitled Tamil remake of Malayalam film "Maheshinte Prathikaaram".
"Samuthirakani is in talks for the project. Priyadarshan really liked his work in 'Oppam', and is keen to sign him again. He is yet to officially sign on the dotted line as he is figuring out his dates," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
Udhayanidhi Stalin has been signed to play the lead, originally played by Fahadh Faasil in the National Award winning film.
Priyadarshan is not new to remakes but he will make changes to "Maheshinte Prathikaaram" to suit Tamil sensibilities.
The rest of the cast and crew will be finalised soon.
