Chennai, April 22 (IANS) Refuting rumours that Tamil director Shankar is all set to work on a sequel to his Tamil blockbuster "Indian", his agent said the filmmaker is extremely busy with "I" and has no such plans as of now.
"He (Shankar) has made no announcement about 'Indian 2'. He is extremely busy with 'I' and will not think about his next film until he is done with it. It's nothing but rumours that are doing the rounds in the industry about the sequel," Shankar's agent told IANS.
According to the industry grapevine, Kamal Haasan and Suriya Sivakumar were reportedly roped in for "Indian 2".
Kamal played the lead in "Indian", which also featured Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar, Suganya, Manorama, Senthil and Goundamani. It was dubbed in Hindi as "Hindustani".
The film won three National awards, including best actor, best art direction and best special effects.
Meanwhile, Shankar is set to start shooting the final schedule of romantic thriller "I", which features Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead.
