Winter is the time of the year when usually craving for tea and hot snacks goes up. But some people can't afford to soak in such joys. A website has now launched a campaign so 'chai' would be served to the underprivileged in Delhi-NCR whenever anyone shops from the platform.
CashKaro.com, a cashback and coupons site, has launched #EkCashKaroEkChai campaign in an effort to bring a smile to the face of the underprivileged people here.
The website has pledged to serve 'chai' across Delhi-NCR region when anybody shops through the platform starting Wednesday till Jan 18, said a statement.
One has simply to shop online through CashKaro.com on any of its partner sites like Jabong, Snapdeal, Paytm, Amazon.in or Dominos, and a cup of tea will be contributed in their name to those in need.
"People are being hard struck by the ruthless cold winds across northern India. These winter-related hardships incepted the idea of #EkCashKaroEkChai campaign, wherein we will be serving 'garam chai' (hot tea) across Delhi-NCR to the needy," said Rohan Bhargava, co-founder, CashKaro.com.
Students from various colleges like IIT-Delhi, St. Stephen's, Hindu, Hans Raj, Gargi and many more have volunteered to participate in this initiative.
These CashKaro student volunteers will be serving tea to the destitute across key areas like the north and south campus of the University of Delhi, Connaught Place, ITO, Gurgaon, IFFCO Chowk and more on all five days.
