France's national railway company SNCF has become the fourth sponsor for the Euro 2016 on home soil, a media report said on Friday.
This was announced by the tournament's organisers on Thursday, Xinhua reported.
The other sponsors of the tournament are FDJ, Credit Agricole and PROMAN.
Soccer's European governing body UEFA are currently in discussions with various other French companies with a view to appointing the last two national partners as six in total are planned for Euro 2016.
"This partnership represents confirmation of SNCF's ongoing backing for and commitment to major sports events in France - a commitment that spans the transport of both passengers and freight," read a press release by UEFA and the SAS Euro 2016, who is in charge of the tournament's organisation.
"SNCF will be there for fans before, during and after their journeys next summer, both in stations and across the rail network," the released added.
SNCF CEO Guillaume Pepy promised to mobilise the entire team of 200,000 railway workers and partners to serve the tournament.
"Euro 2016 in France will be an extraordinary festival of football, and SNCF is delighted to have this opportunity to play a full role in the event and make a major contribution to the tournament," he said.
"SNCF's experience in transporting passengers and its various initiatives and commitments in the field of sport make it a natural complement to EURO 2016's values of excellence and unity," said Jacques Lambert, president of Euro 2016 SAS.
