Actor Prithvirajan, son of yesteryear actor-filmmaker Pandiarajan, will reprise his father's role in the eponymous remake of 1985 cult comedy "Aan Paavam".
Pandiarajan will direct the remake.
"It's one of the biggest comedy hits of Tamil cinema. It'll be interesting to remake it now. My son will reprise my role from the original. I'm going to retain the original theme but will make changes to the script to suit modern-day sensibilities," Pandiarajan told IANS.
Pandiarajan had directed the original, which also featured Revathy and Geetha in important roles.
For the remake, the cast is yet to be finalised.
According to Pandiarajan, the project is expected to go on the floors in Kerala soon.
