Congress president Sonia Gandhi Monday expressed shock and deep anguish at the gruesome killing of CRPF personnel in a Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh and demanded that the government look at all aspects of the incident.
She extended her condolences to the family of the "martyrs" and hoped that the injured would get all the required treatment.
"Having lost its entire state leadership and workers to Maoist attacks in Darba earlier, the Congress party understands the tyranny of such incidents and stands with the members of families of the deceased in this hour of grief," Gandhi said.
Maoists Monday gunned down 13 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers returning after a search operation in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.
