In view of Valentine's Day, police in Gurgaon will keep a close watch on the city's public places, including malls, multiplexes and call centres on Friday, police said Thursday.
Special barricading and deployment of police force will be done so that no one can disturb or create panic, a police officer said.
"Close watch near malls, multiplexes, call centres and other working places, especially where women work in large numbers, will be assured so that no one can disturb the normal life of the city," the officer told IANS.
"Sufficient number of police force, including women officers, will be deployed from Friday morning," the officer said.
"Similarly, bus stands and railway station will be provided extra security cover for the special day," he added.
A special drive against drunk drivers would also be carried out through out the day.
