Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo did not travel to the Netherlands on Monday to participate in the Valencia training camp as he waited for his loan transfer to English football club Middlesbrough to be made official in the next few hours.

In his absence, Rafa Mir is expected to take his place. Despite the development of negotiations, Negredo trained on Monday with his teammates before they departed to the Netherlands, reports Efe.

Negredo will thus return to the English Premier League after two seasons in the ranks of Valencia after moving from Manchester City.
