The week ended with a sultry and sunny Sunday in Delhi, and the maximum temperature was three notches above average for this time of year, at 36.4 degrees Celsius. Monday would see similar weather, the Met office said.
"The skies will remain clear Monday and the maximum temperature will hover around 36 degrees Celsius," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The minimum temperature recorded Sunday was 25.9 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, and humidity ranged between a high and low of 89 and 43 percent, respectively.
On Saturday, the maximum temperature settled three notches above average at 36.4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 25.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
