The national capital experienced another sunny and hot day Thursday, as the maximum temperature settled four notches above the season's average at 38 degrees Celsius. No respite is expected Friday.
"The sky will remain partly cloudy tomorrow (Friday) and the day temperature will remain high," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 38 and 27 degrees Celsius.
Thursday morning was sunny and the minimum temperature settled two notches above the season's average at 28 degrees Celsius.
The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 69 percent.
Wednesday was a sultry day with the maximum temperature recorded five notches above average at 38.4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled two notches above average at 28.0 degrees Celsius.
