It was a sunny and warm morning in the capital Tuesday as the minimum temperature settled a notch above average at 27.2 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast rains later in the day.
"The skies will be partly cloudy and some parts of the city will receive showers," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 34 degrees Celsius.
Delhi experienced a sultry Monday and the maximum temperature settled a notch above average at 34.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum was recorded at 26.7 degrees Celsius, which is the season's average.
Since the monsoon's arrival in June, Delhi has received 515.6 mm of rain, 31 percent more than average.
