Surajkund hosts 'infotainment' fest for kids, families

Buddy Daddy Family Bash, a live entertainment family festival is exploring an "untapped" market for "infotainment", which is bringing children and parents together for some quality time in Surajkund here.

"Over a period of time, we have realised that there is a huge market for infotainment Awhich is absolutely untapped," Vippul Bhutani, co-founder, Buddy Daddy Family Bash, said.

"Despite the hectic schedule at work, one must dedicate quality time with family which is the main reason of coming up with something like the Buddy Daddy Family Bash," he explained.

From international hip-hop and rock bands, art from a Disney fame host, GenX sports, experiential science, dance forms and circus -- different major interest points of an individual, are being served up at the ongoing fest.

The bash began on Friday and will conclude on Sunday.

"There is a scarcity of events that a family can enjoy together in India. There are rare option to enjoy with whole family except a movie or meal together.

"All we focus today on our kids is interrogating them on their score in exams rather than relieving them a bit. Our festival gives an avenue to not just kids but their parents as well to come and just enjoy but learn together.

"We firmly believe 'Learning and enjoyment are always fun together," Bhutani said.

The fest is free for children under 14 years of age.
