Taylor Swift buys $17.7 m house with cash

Los Angeles, April 28 (IANS) Singer Taylor Swift not only bought a Rhode Island mansion for over $17 million after driving a hard bargain, but also made a cash payment.

Swift was eyeing the mansion for a few weeks now, having toured the place back April 15.

TMZ reports that real estate sources said that the asking price on the house, spread in 5.23 acres, was around $20 million, but Swift got it for $17.75 million.

Swift wired the money over and later movers were spotted at the house.

It seems Taylor is better at closing the deal than others.
