Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) on Monday signed a MoU with Salesforce to provide valuable Salesforce skills for students.

Through self-guided Trailhead learning and instructor-led offerings through Salesforce University, TASK will train and certify 2,000 students and 100 faculty members over the next two years.

TASK has signed the agreement with the Salesforce Academic Alliance Program and Salesforce Developer Relations.

The MoU was signed by Sujiv Nair, CEO of TASK and Sundar Nagarathnam, Senior Vice President, Salesforce University in the presence of Jayesh Ranjan, IT Secretary, Government of Telangana.

Under the partnership, the Salesforce Academic Alliance team will facilitate instructor-led training to third and fourth year students from select TASK engineering colleges in two flagship courses: application development and programmatic development using apex and visualforce -- eventually leading to Associate and Professional Salesforce certifications.

TASK will also be empowered to deliver its own Trailhead workshops, where students will learn how to leverage Trailhead's fun, easy, self-guided learning as an ongoing training and knowledge source.

According to IDC, Salesforce and its ecosystem will enable the creation of 1.9 million jobs from the use of cloud computing between the end of 2015 and the end of 2020.

Salesforce is partnering with colleges and universities around the world to empower students with the very latest in Salesforce skills.

Through a combination of instructor-led offerings from Salesforce University and self-guided learning from Trailhead -- the interactive, gamified, hands-on learning platform that empowers anyone to learn the skills -- Salesforce's goal is to prepare the next generation of trailblazers with in-demand job skills, said the company in a statement.
