Theron's mother wants her to dump Penn?

Charlize Theron's mother Gerda wants the actress to dump new beau Sean Penn as she is fearful that the womanizing actor will break her daughter's heart.

Gerda has never minded the pair's friendship, but sources have said she "begged Charlize not to let it turn romantic".

Gerda has been gently reminding Charlize that Penn just took a trip with his ex-wife Madonna to Haiti, where the pair reportedly hooked up, reports showbizspy.com.

"Charlize refuses to believe it happened but Gerda worries about her, like any mother would," said a source.
