Debutant Raksha Raj is excited to be making her cinematic debut with upcoming Tamil drama "Thoppi", which she describes as a film close to her heart.
Raksha says she would like to choose characters that reflect her personality.
"'Thoppi' is closer to my heart. It's the right subject to mark one's presence and I'm glad I bagged a plum role in my debut film. The shooting atmosphere intensified my confidence level, which went up each day," Raksha said in a statement.
"Thanks to the whole team, I felt like being at home. This confidence will help me for all my future projects. I would like to choose characters which would reflect my personality in terms of skill and talent," she said.
Raksha, who is a classical dancer, is well versed in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi and Mohiniyattam.
Directed by Youreka, "Thoppi" features Murli Ram in the lead.
