Bhubaneswar, April 23 (IANS) Three school children drowned Tuesday while bathing in a river in Odisha's Sundergarh district, police said.
Four boys - all below the age of 12 years - were bathing in the Brahmani river near Rourkela, about 500 km from state capital Bhubaneswar, when three of them were swept away, a police officer told IANS.
One managed to swim back.
A rescue team recovered the three boys from the river. They were taken to a hospital where they were declared dead.
