A Delhi court Thursday sent two people accused in the gang rape and robbery of a Danish tourist to three days in police custody.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sudhanshu Kaushik allowed Delhi Police to quiz the two accused - Mohd Raja, 22, from Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh and Mahendra alias Ganja, 25, hailing from Maharashtra - till Jan 20.
They were arrested from near Shivaji Park in New Delhi area Wednesday evening.
Police sought custody of the two accused, saying they needed to be interrogated to trace the other six attackers of the Danish woman who are now on the run.
The 51-year-old Danish woman was robbed and raped at knife-point by eight vagabonds near the New Delhi Railway Station Tuesday, police said.
