Mexico City, July 3 (IANS/EFE) Gunmen killed three people at a bar in a city in Mexico state, officials and media reports said.
The shooting happened Monday at a bar on Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz avenue, a street on the limits of the city of Nezahualcoyotl with Mexico City, Mexico state Attorney General's Office spokesmen told EFE.
An SUV pulled up in front of the bar and three gunmen got out, entered the bar and opened fire, eyewitnesses and employees told Mexican media.
The gunmen opened fire on three people who apparently worked at the establishment, media reports said.
Investigators are looking at several possible motives for the attack, with the information obtained so far indicating that the bar's owners refused to pay money to a gang that targeted them in an extortion racket, the AG's office spokesmen said.
