Three youths booked for gang-raping minor in Gurgaon

Three youths have been booked here for gang-raping a 14-year-old girl, police said Sunday.

The three accused - identified as Manoj, Bulla and Meenu - are students of Class 10 to 12 and in the age group of 18 to 20 years.

The three from Pathredi village here were booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and for hatching a conspiracy, gang-raping a minor, criminal intimidation and threatening to kill, police officer Praveen Kumar told IANS.

"They committed the crime Saturday evening when the girl went to the house of one of the accused for a pot of water. The accused were aware that she often visits the house for water and hatched the conspiracy," the officer said.

The girl's family went in search of her when she did not return home, and found her in a semi-unconscious condition at the house.

No one has been arrested as the accused are absconding.

A medical examination confirmed rape. The girl's statement was recorded in front of a duty magistrate Sunday.
