The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) here on Thursday announced an additional Nepali Rs.3 crore for relief and reconstruction work in the earthquake-hit country, a statement said.
After a visit to quake-affected areas to assess the damage, the CTA led by Prime Minister Lobsang Sangay decided to provide the relief for Tibetans, said the statement.
It said that the funds were raised through the CTA's emergency relief and rehabilitation fund-raising campaign.
"Sadly, there have been some Tibetan deaths both in Nepal and across the border in Tibet. Severe damages to life and property have also been caused as a result of the earthquake. We pray for them and urge them to maintain their perseverance and resilience in facing this tragedy," the statement quoting Sangay said.
In the first phase, the CTA had sanctioned Nepali Rs.5.6 million in aid.
Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama has lived in India since fleeing his homeland in 1959.
The Tibetan administration in exile is based in Dharamsala town.
