The Italian city of Turin announced on Wednesday that the name of Torino football club's home stadium will be changed from Stadio Olimpico di Torino to Stadio Grande Torino from Sunday.

The city explained in a statement that the ground's name will be changed to honour the team of Valentino Mazzola, who dominated Serie A for five consecutive seasons between 1942-43 and 1948-49, reports Efe.

Torino will be hosting Sassuolo at their home ground under their new name on Sunday in round 35 of the Serie A.
