It was a tough day for the Indian bowlers as Derbyshire piled up a huge 326 for five on the first day of the three-day warm-up match at the County Ground here Tuesday.
Left arm-spinner Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of the bowlers bagging two for 27 while pacers Pankaj Singh, Ishwar Pandey and Stuart Binny got a wicket apiece.
At stumps, Billy Goddleman was batting on 67 with 17-year-old Harvey Hosein, who was on 53.
West Durston was the top scorer with 95 while opening batsman Ben Slater made 54.
The Indians used nine bowlers, including skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who gave away 11 runs from the only over he bowled.
