The union tourism ministry on Wednesday said it will shortly introduce the tourism helpline number in 12 more languages.
Currently, the helpline number 1363 for tourists is functioning in two languages - Hindi and English.
"Soon, the ministry will introduce 12 more languages for the helpline," Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma said here after chairing a meeting of Hindi advisory committee.
Sharma said his ministry was giving importance to Hindi as much as possible and a lot of official work was also being done in Hindi.
Speaking on the occasion, tourism secretary Vinod Zutshi announced to launch a magazine called 'Atulya Bharat' in Hindi.
The meeting was attended by members of parliament Ram Charitra Nishad, Shankar Bhai N. Vegad, Tariq Anwar and other senior ministry officials.
