Ankara and Tehran were set to hold bilateral discussions, as Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek arrived here Saturday.
Heading a high-ranking parliamentary delegation, Cicek arrived in Tehran at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani.
"The latest regional developments and expansion of parliamentary ties and (relations) in other fields are among issues which will be discussed during the meetings," Hossein Sheikholeslam, Larijani's advisor on international affairs, was quoted as saying.
During this two-day visit, Cicek is expected to hold talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Larijani and other Iranian officials on recent regional developments.
