At least two children were washed away by flash floods in Jammu on Wednesday.
"The bodies of two children who were washed away in flash floods in Janipur area, have been recovered," a senior police officer told IANS.
"In the railway station area of the city a number of 'jhuggis' (makeshift dwellings) have also been damaged," the official said.
"People in low lying and flood prone areas have been asked to remain vigilant."
Normal life in Jammu region have been affected due to torrential rains since Tuesday night. The rains continued without a let up on Wednesday.
