A special court in Saudi Arabia has sentenced two men to death and another person to 12 years in jail for taking part in rioting in Qatif governorate.

They were charged with several crimes, including the killing of security officials and attacking a police station, the Saudi Gazette reported Wednesday.

The Special Criminal Court in Riyadh sentenced the three defendants Tuesday.

They were also accused of making bombs, throwing Molotov cocktails at security officers and triggering an explosion by firing at a cooking gas cylinder at a police station.
