At least two security personnel were killed and two injured Saturday in a roadside blast in Pakistan's Bajaur Agency.
Official sources said security forces were carrying water for the troops in Salarzai region when they were hit by an improvised explosive device, Dawn online reported.
A security reinforcement immediately reached the spot and a search operation was launched.
Bajaur, a tribal region in Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), is governed by tribal laws.
An extremist insurgency led by the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) plagues the region and the area is known to be infested with militants, including those from Al Qaeda and other armed extremist organisations.
