Two girls committed suicide by hanging themselves in their houses after they got low marks in their Class 12 exams Monday afternoon, police said.
In the first incident, Mahek, 17, committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her house at Rohini area in west Delhi.
A neighbour spotted her body hanging and informed her parents. A suicide note has been found in which she says "sorry" to their parents, said an officer.
Mahek obtained low marks in the exam, the officer added.
In the second incident, 17-year-old Vaishali committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her house at Mehrauli area in south Delhi.
Police said no suicide note was found. Her parents told police that she had got low marks in her exams.
