Abu Dhabi, Jan 3 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Friday condemned the terrorist bombings outside a hotel in Somalia's capital Mogadishu Wednesday, which resulted in many causalities.
"UAE condemns such criminal acts which undermines security and stability in Somalia," said a foreign ministry statement, expressing heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the Somali government and people.
"The UAE reiterates its unwavering stand against terrorism in all its shapes and forms," the statement added.
At least 11 people were killed and dozens injured in the blasts that targetted the heavily-fortified Jazeera hotel.
The blasts occurred as explosives-laden vehicles went off in quick succession outside the hotel near the international airport in the capital. The hotel is frequented by government officials and local business people.
