UAE group to distributes dates to 15 countries

Abu Dhabi, July 4 (IANS/WAM) The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation of the UAE will ship 241 tonnes of dates, by sea and air, to 15 countries around the world, including India, prior to the holy month of Ramadan.

The foundation is keen to improve the lives of people who suffer under difficult circumstances and wants to help provide some of their needs in cooperation with the embassies in those countries.

The other countries that would receive the dates are Egypt, Lebanon, Uzbekistan, Tanzania, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Malaysia, the Swiss Confederation, Germany, Belgium, Spain and Portugal.
