Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu on Friday said that unity and integrity was the strength of India and the country's philosophy was "the world is one family".
India showed humanity the righteous path of compassion, tolerance and universal brotherhood, he said while interacting with the members of a delegation from National Foundation of Communal Harmony here.
"We have to protect and follow the rich cultural heritage of our motherland which we have inherited from our forefathers," he said, as per an official release.
"Our culture is much ancient than many other in the world. Irrespective of caste, creed, race or religion, we are all one."
The members presented Naidu with Flag Sticker on the occasion of 'The Communal Harmony Campaign week'.
