United States coach Jurgen Klinsmann has named a 26-man squad to take part in a pre-World Cup training camp in Brazil later this month.

The camp will be held from Jan 13-25 at the Barra Funda training centre in Sao Paulo, US soccer officials said Friday, reports Xinhua.

"We are all very excited for this camp because, as a team, it will give us our first taste of Brazil," Klinsmann said in a communique.

"This is a very important camp in our preparations for the World Cup. It's important for the players to continue developing their bond and sense of urgency for the tournament."

The US team's Brazil visit will follow a six-day camp in Carson, California.

Klinsmann's squad includes nine players who are yet to make their international debut. The US has been drawn in the World Cup's Group G with Germany, Portugal and Ghana.
