His first film did well and he should have his plate full with new assignments, but Varun Dhawan begs to differ. He wants to stick to one film policy and for the time being he would also like to stay single.
"I am doing a film, energies are focused there. I am a firm believer in doing just one film at a time. I am new and should concentrate," Varun told IANS.
After debuting with "Student Of The Year" (SOTY), which did fairly good business at the box office, the youngster will be next seen in his father David Dhawan's "Main Tera Hero".
His performance in "Student Of The Year" was greatly appreciated and he feels he shouldn't take success for granted.
"The response was overwhelming, so you can't take the audience's faith for granted. If it is there today, it can all go tomorrow. I need to reach a higher level in my next film," he said.
Varun had been romantically linked to his "SOTY" co-actor Alia Bhatt.
Asked him about that, Varun clarified: "I don't react to this. If it is a rumour, I don't read it. I try to clear it, but to be honest, I don't know how to clear it."
"I am happy being alone as a person. I wish I could tell people that please don't put me into relationships, especially these fake ones. People write what they want to...I am just going to leave it at that. I don't think it is to be fought," he said.
Apparently "Johnny Gaddaar" fame director Sriram Raghavan has finalised him for his next venture, but Varun said: "I am keen to work with him. I don't want to comment as I am not on the production of the film. As and when something is finalised, I guess they will make the announcement."
