The Telugu remake of critically-acclaimed Hindi film "Vicky Donor" is set to go on the floors later this month.
Starring Sumanth, the film will be directed by Mallik Ram.
"We will start shooting from the first or second week of December," Mallik told IANS, adding that the lead team is yet to be finalised.
With Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam in the lead, Shoojit Sircar made a film on the subject of sperm donation in a light manner in 2012 through "Vicky Donor". It was appreciated by critics and was also commercially successful.
It is rumoured that actress Pallavi Subhash will be paired opposite Sumanth.
"We really haven't finalised anybody yet. We've been in talks with a few heroines and we plan to make an official announcement in due course," Mallik said.
The film's remake was first announced in 2013 by filmmaker Madhura Sreedhar, but since things didn't fall in place, it didn't get made.
